A five-day trip to Dharmshala Amritsar is an unforgettable adventure for culture vultures and nature lovers alike. This trip will take travelers through the impressive historical heritage of the holy city of Amritsar and the beautiful hill town of Dharmshala.

Mr. Moshe Attias called us and told us about their plan to spend 2 days in Dharamshala and 3 days in Amritsar. We have picked up them from Kangra Airport and on last day dropped at Amritsar Airport.

On the first day of the trip, a scenic drive to Dharmshala will be the perfect start to the journey. As the sun rises, take a day to explore the small hill towns that overlook the town and the surrounding mountains, stopping off to take in the breathtaking view of the Himalayan mountain range. Once in Dharmshala, visit the Dalai Lama Temple, where travelers will learn more about Buddhism and get to explore the temple’s beautiful artwork. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing hike near the town, admiring the exotic wildlife including langurs, monkeys, hill foxes, and more.

The Second day will be spent rafting down the turbulent rapids of the Beas River, choosing from various adrenaline-filled packages for all skill levels. Embrace the bolder side of adventure and take the plunge! After rafting, take a short drive to Kangra to visit the Kangra Fort, constructed by the Katoch Rajputs in the Kot Kangra village.

On the Third day, visit, take a cable car ride to the grounds of Palampur Tea Estates, and the famous paragliding spot at Bir Billing. You can enjoy the adventure of paragliding in world second famous paragliding spot.

The Fourth day of the trip will be spent in Amritsar. Travelers should visit the world-renowned Golden Temple, where the fascinating history of India’s holiest religious site will be revealed through the intricate carvings and stunning architecture. Then, take a short trip to the Indian-Pakistani border to watch the captivating Beating Retreat ceremony, where the India-Pakistani flags will fly in the wind. After a day of sightseeing, travelers should explore the vibrant food scene in Amritsar, which is particularly famous for its spicy Punjabi delicacies.

Aside from visiting these popular tourist spots, you can also experience the local culture by trying traditional Punjabi cuisine, shopping for souvenirs at local markets, and interacting with the friendly locals.
